Site Visit: Exploring Primary Healthcare Practices in Upper Austria

As part of the EQUIP Conference, participants are invited to experience the diversity of Austria’s primary healthcare system through visits to three distinct practices in Upper Austria. This event offers a unique opportunity to explore different organizational models and approaches to primary care delivery.

The program includes:

1. Dr. Barbara Rechberger – Primary Healthcare Unit (PVE) in Linz
   The Primary Healthcare Unit “PVE Grüne Mitte” in Linz is an example of an innovative and integrated primary healthcare unit. These units focus on interdisciplinary collaboration, comprehensive care, and the use of digital tools to improve accessibility and quality of services.
2. Dr. Stefan Mertl – Single Practice in Eidenberg
   Dr. Mertl’s single practice represents the traditional model of an independent general practitioner. This visit will provide insight into personalized patient care, the operational autonomy of a single practice, and the close patient-doctor relationship characteristic of this setup.
3. Dr. Reiter & Reiter – Group Practice in Gramastetten
   This group practice demonstrates a collaborative team-based approach to primary care. This model enhances access to various healthcare professionals, streamlines patient care, and optimizes resource utilization through coordinated teamwork

This site visit will provide participants with a closer look at how these practices function, their organizational structures, approaches to patient care, and the role of technology in enhancing primary healthcare. It will highlight the variety and innovation within Austria’s primary care system.

Note: Transportation to and between the practices will be arranged for all participants, ensuring a seamless and comfortable experience. The program begins promptly at 15:00, so please arrive on time for registration.
